Six of us began the day at Red Bank very early to see scarlet macaws, but they did not fly in this morning. We spent time with Julio at Maya Center seeing his coffee and chocolate production business and touring his Mayan Culture Center. We spent the afternoon hiking in the Cockscomb Preserve through the lush rain forest. A very good day. Reports from the group at the coast is they had a good day. Homeward bound tomorrow.
Just wanted to let you all know that Duncan's Shoe House in PG has apparently burned badly tonight, likely total loss. Sally saw pics on Facebook..very sad! Also,Steve Pierce, tell Scott a lady from Armenia called my house last night, trying to reach Scott. Don't know how she got our number but she had tried the cell number assigned to Scott but call didn't go thru. I gave her my Steve's assigned cell number but figured you all had already turned in the 4 phones. She did not say what she needed and I did not understand her name. Be so glad when the team is back. Sleet/ice have stopped but still icy patches. High in C'lotte tomorrow 51 w/ sun & sun in Marion. Alice Little
